A fundraiser who has raised thousands for local charities has been recognised for his efforts.
Trevor Jones was presented with the South Elmsall Services award on Friday, March 14.
The Mayor and Mayoress of South Elmsall, Coun Jack and Annie Thomas, presented Mr Jones with the award at the Westfield Centre in the town.
Mr Jones has raised almost £200,000 from events across the country over the past 20 years, with the help of two-time darts world champion Dennis Priestley.
A number of local causes and charities have benefitted from his efforts, including the South Elmsall Stroke Club, the Prince of Wales Hospice, the Beth’s Angels Fund, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and local football clubs.
The presentation ceremony was attended by Mr Jones’ family and friends and councillors from South Elmsall Town Council, which runs the annual services award.
