I HAVE just returned from the annual Visionary (formerly the National Association of Local Societies for the Visually Impaired) conference and was pleasantly surprised to find that the support we receive from Wakefield Council is almost unique.
Wakefield District Sight Aid is one of very few societies that receives help for the Talking Book Service.
We all know cuts in support from the local authorities is inevitable.
Therefore, on behalf of our members, we would like to extend a big thank you to the council.
