Labour white wash in South East

LABOUR candidate Shaun Hodson has taken the Hemsworth ward - resulting in a white wash for the party in the South East.

Coun Hodson took 57.5 per cent of the vote, ahead of Independent Jim Kenyon and Conservative Philip Davies.

Labour’s Faith Heptinstall has taken the Crofton, Ryhill and Walton ward.

In Ackworth, North Elmsall and Upton, Martyn Ward won for Labour.

And in South Elmsall and South Kirkby, Michelle Collins also won for Labour
