Four new non-executive directors have been appointed to join the board of Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The NHS Trust Development Authority has appointed Louise Scott, Prew Lumley and Charlotte Sweeney, while Mid Yorkshire trust has appointed Dr David Hicks.
Jules Preston, chairman of the trust, which runs Pontefract, Pinderfields and Dewsbury Hospitals, said: “It is a great pleasure to welcome Louise Scott, Prew Lumley, Charlotte Sweeney and Dr David Hicks to the board.
“They bring a wealth of skills and experience that will be a real asset to the trust.
“I look forward to working with them in leading and developing the strategic direction to ensure we have the best possible services for our patients now and in the future.”
Dr Hicks’ appointment will run until February 2015. He is also a Care Quality Commission inspector and has previously been medical director at Barnsley Hospital Foundation Trust.
Ms Scott and Ms Lumley are both commercial lawyers, and will serve on the board until February 2017 and March 2015 respectively.
Ms Sweeney works in strategic human resources and advises government bodies.
