Pharmacy opening times for Bank Holiday Monday have been announced by NHS bosses.
GP surgeries will be closed on Monday, and people are advised to seek help from their pharmacist if they are feeling unwell.
Boots, on Beastfair, Pontefract, will be open from 10am-4pm on Monday.
Asda, on Leeds Road, Glasshoughton, will open from 9am-6pm.
And Eggborough Pharmacy, at Ash Grove Medical Centre, England Lane, Knottingley, will be open from noon-2pm.
Health bosses said pharmacists were qualified to give advice on health issues including coughs, breathing problems, colds and sore throats.
People are also advised to stock up on essential medicines while GP surgeries are closed.
They include pain relief, anti-diarrhoea medicine, sore throat remedies, cough remedies, plasters and bandages, thermometer, antihistamines and antiseptic cream.
Kathryn Hilliam, head of primary care for NHS England West Yorkshire said: “Your local pharmacy can help you with more than you might think.
“Pharmacists offer expert, confidential advice and treatment for many minor health problems.
“As most GP surgeries will be closed on Monday we would also encourage patients to order any medication they need in plenty of time so they have a good supply during the bank holiday.”
Help is also available by calling the non-emergency line NHS 111 or by dialling 999 in an emergency.
