A LOCAL area forum is being held in South Elmsall to allow residents a chance to have their say about their community.
The forum will be held at the South Elmsall Social Centre, Westfield Lane, from 6.30pm on Wednesday, June 12.
Residents can meet officers from the South Kirkby neighbourhood police team (NPT) and representatives from Wakefield Council, the NHS, the fire service and local housing organisations.
The forum, which is organised by the Wakefield Together Partnership, will offer locals an opportunity to shape plans for their neighbourhoods and to raise any issues or concerns they might have. It is one of a series of forums taking place across the district throughout June and is open to anyone who lives in the Wakefield district.
Coun Maureen Cummings, Wakefield Council’s cabinet member for communities and the environment, said: “Get involved and have your say by joining your local area forum. The forums are an opportunity to shape services and influence decisions that can give us all pride in where we live. The more people that get involved the bigger the difference we can make together.”
