Frickley Athletic will be aiming to continue their terrific turn round in home form when they entertain Barwell on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

After losing their first three home games and drawing their fourth in the Evo-Stik Premier League the Blues have now won their last three matches at the Westfield Lane ground.

Next up is a Barwell side that stands two places and one point higher than Athletic.

Frickley are in action again next Tuesday when they begin the defence of the Sheffield & Hallam Senior Cup with a first round home tie against Denaby Main (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Blues have added another player to their squad with Regan Fish joining from NCE League side Pontefract Collieries.

The midfielder is available straight away and has played for Liversedge, AFC Emley, Pickering Town and Glasshoughton Welfare.

Former club doctor David Wilkinson died last Tuesday, aged 84.

Dr Wilkinson was a local GP and Frickley’s club doctor until his retirement. He gave generous financial support to the club and although suffering ill health in recent years he would get up to the ground to watch matches whenever he was able.
