RESIDENTS are being warned of possible flooding in the south east of the district.
A woman had to be rescued from her car by firefighters on Sunday after trying to drive through the flood water on Hemsworth bypass between Southmoor Road and Barnsley Road.
Firefighters from Hemsworth pulled the car to safety. The woman was not injured.
The Environment Agency has warned that homes around the beck and River Skell in Hemsworth to Thorpe in Balne could be at risk of possible flooding.
Warnings have also been made to residents in South Elmsall, around Lower Northcroft and Minsthorpe Vale.
The alerts are the lowest level warning of possible flooding.
