RESIDENTS were in for the shock of their life on Tuesday morning as pupils got dressed up in scary outfits to walk to school.
The youngsters from Stockingate Mill Junior School came second in a district-wide competition to see how many children walked to school. And as a treat for their energetic efforts they were given the opportunity to walk with Dracula.
An actor dressed as the vampire then gave a school assembly and spent the morning with the children.
Richard Grace, a teacher at the school on Stockingate, South Kirkby, said: “The children looked absolutely fantastic. They had a really good time.”
