Don’t forget to return postal vote

RESIDENTS who are voting by post are being reminded to return their ballot papers before polls close.

Postal votes must be received by 10pm on Thursday, May 3, if voters want to have their say in the Wakefield Council elections and mayoral referendum.

Residents who are voting in person should check their poll cards for information about where and when to vote. Polling stations are open from 7am until 10pm. New applications to vote by proxy - when someone is appointed to vote on the resident’s behalf - must be submitted by 5pm on April 25. Visit www.aboutmyvote.co.uk for an application form.

Visit www.wakefield.gov.uk for more information about the elections.
