Detectives have arrested two more people on suspicion of murdering a man in Eastmoor.
So far nine people have been arrested in connection with the murder of 58-year-old Kevin Childs.
Police were first called to a report of a sudden death at a flat on Park Lodge Lane, on Friday, February 7.
And a week later, after a post mortem examination was carried, detectives launched a murder investigation.
Det Chief Insp Adrian Taylor, from West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services (Crime), said: “A 40-year-old woman of no fixed abode and a 50-year-old man from Wakefield were taken into custody last night, both on suspicion of murder.”
A 41-year-old man from Wakefield and a 25-year-old woman from Featherstone, who were arrested on Tuesday, are still in custody.
A 39-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from Eastmoor, and a 26-year-old woman from Wakefield, who were also arrested on Tuesday, have been released on bail.
A 66-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man, who were arrested in connection with the investigation last Thursday, have also been released on bail.
