Three youths suspected of being involved in a serious assault and robbery at Sandal and Agbrigg Railway Station have been identified by British Transport Police (BTP).

A 19-year-old from Kinsley was knocked unconscious and had his mobile phone and bag stolen during the attack.

Police have spoken to three youths identified by the public after CCTV images from the station were published by the Wakefield Express.

A spokeswoman for BTP said: “Two of the youths, aged 12 and 13 from Sandal, attended a BTP police station on request,where they were interviewed by officers and reported for the incident.

“A third youth, from the Middlesbrough area, will be interviewed by police later this week.”
