Pupils at Upton Primary School have been learning about road safety.
The children took part in a practical exercise, watched a slideshow and engaged in a question time to learn about what a lorry driver can and can’t see from his truck. The visit was organised by Asda.
Joan Holman, learning support assistant, said: “The children learned about the basics of the green cross code and got to sit in the truck to help them understand what a driver can see. They got a lot out of the visit and learned about how hard it is for a lorry driver to see cyclists and pedestrians.”
