CHILDREN at Badsworth Church of England School drew inspiration from the experts when they took part in an art week.
Different artists visited the school each day last week to showcase and teach the children different art techniques.
And the youngsters got plenty of opportunities to put their newly learnt skills into practice themselves.
The event was one of the school’s enrichment weeks, which they have each half term, and this time the focus was on art.
Headteacher Matt Latham said: “They still have their numeracy and literacy in a morning but it’s a chance to look at curriculum activities that don’t get looked at as often.
“The school is very appreciative to members of the community and to York University who have sent people out to help us and to come and work with the children.”
