THOUSANDS of people turned up to celebrate World Down’s Syndrome Day on Saturday.

Kids and their parents turned out in force at the family fun day at Nostell Priory.

Visitors to the event enjoyed a number of attractions, including a mascot race, a police dogs display, a dance troupe performance, stalls, bouncy castles and slides, a lucky dip, fairground games, inflatable football and face painting.

World Down’s Syndrome Day officially took place on March 21 and was the seventh annual event aimed at creating a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and wellbeing of people with Down’s syndrome.
