A MAN has been arrested after police found a cannabis farm and red diesel at his home.
The South East Neighbourhood Police Team (NPT) found 16 cannabis plants on Sunday at an address on Highclere Court, South Elmsall.
Officers investigated after a report from the public that the man was growing the Class B drug in his garage.
They also found that he was storing duty-free red diesel and three of his vehicles were seized.
The two BMWs and a Ford Focus will be tested for illegal use of the diesel.
The man was arrested on suspicion of the production of cannabis and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Insp Geoff Carter, of the South East NPT, said: “Another excellent example of how community intelligence is acted upon by your local NPT.
“Not only have we recovered numerous cannabis plants but also found evidence of the use of red diesel - the second such diesel find in a week.
“I would like to thank our communities for their assistance and encourage them to let us know about such activity.”
