Lucky teenagers from Kinsley and Fitzwilliam have been given 25 hours free driving lessons to boost their job prospects.

Chevin Housing, Kinsley and Fitzwilliam Community Safety Group and West Yorkshire Police teamed up with driving instructor Ian McGuiness to put seven youngsters through the Community Driving School.

Caroline Grosvenor, head of Chevin Housing, said: “We are committed to regenerating our communities and helping to fund driving lessons for some youngsters to give them a better chance of getting employmen.”

The teenagers also get one opportunity to take their theory and practical tests for free.
