CREATIVE students put pens to paper and came up with winning designs for their school’s Big Tidy Up campaign.

Bradley Evans and Harley Curnow from Minsthorpe Community College shone through with their eye-catching slogan, ‘Be a Litter Hero, Pick It Up,’ and design, which has been placed on litter bins around the college, on Minsthorpe Lane.

Vice principal Liz Fairhurst said: “The slogan was really catchy and thought the other pupils would really catch on to it.”

The campaign was launched last year to try promote a sense of pride and respect for their local environment.
