A WOMAN who died in a house fire yesterday (Thursday) has been named.
Kaye Slammon, 34, died in the blaze at Malton Road, Upton.

Police have said they are not treating her death as suspicious.

Firefighters from South Elmsall, Hemsworth and Pontefract were called to the scene of the fire, which started in the kitchen, at about 1.10am.

They found Ms Slammon, who was home alone, in an upstairs bedroom. Their efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.
