QUESTIONS about proposals to build a new health centre in South Kirkby will be addressed at two public meetings this week.
NHS Wakefield District is proposing to build a new facility opposite South Kirkby Ambulance Station, on Langthwaite Road, and is asking people to air their views.

The centre, which could open by the end of 2011 if plans go ahead, would be shared by two GP practices – Drs Diggle and Okine, and Dr Chandy and Partners, currently based at Stockingate Surgery, South Kirkby, and South Elmsall Health Centre, Little Lane.

Dr Chandy and Partners will hold a meeting between 6pm and 8pm at Langthwaite House, Langthwaite Road, on Tuesday, February 2.

Drs Diggle and Okine will meet with people at Westfield Lane Social Centre, South Elmsall, between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday, February 4.
