Woman injured in takeaway car crash

A CAR crashed into a busy Indian takeaway last night (Saturday) in a road collision which injured an elderly lady.

Fire fighters had to cut a female passenger free from a Vauxhall Omega at the Junction of Agbrigg Road and Doncaster Road after it was in collision with a taxi at around 1am.

She suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Pinderfields hospital.

The Vauxhall had crashed into the doorway of Topa takeaway, causing slight structural damage.

Nobody else was injured.
