Deputy council leader appointed
WAKEFIELD Council has appointed Coun Denise Jeffery as the new deputy leader.
She will replace Phil Dobson who lost his seat in the recent elections.
Coun Jeffery was voted into position at a special meeting of the Wakefield Labour group on Saturday and will take her seat next to leader Peter Box at the next meeting of full council this Thursday.
