Archie-Lee gran took her own life

THE grandmother of a toddler who was mauled to death by a pet dog took her own life in a drugs overdose, an inquest heard today (Friday).

Paula Elaine Williamson, 42, who overdosed on painkillers, was found dead at her Lupset home on April 13, Wakefield Coroners Court heard.

Mrs Williamson was the grandmother of Archie-Lee Hirst, who was mauled to death by a rottweiler in December 2007.

It was heard she had a history of mental illness, including severe depression.
