I would like to thank E Sykes for the letter 'Listen to our ideas' (Express, January 29), which suggests the new swimming pool planned for the southeast of the district should be built on the old South Kirkby Colliery site.
I would also like to reassure your readers that the council does listen to people's views and that suggestions from the public will be taken into account when we are making the decision on the most appropriate location for the new swimming pool.
Coun Peter Box
Leader of Wakefield Council
