Having bought last week's Express to see what South Kirkby Town Council was setting our precept for 2009/2010, I was quite amazed to see what mine and other ratepayers' money is wasted on.
What are discretionary services?
Why do we need Moorthorpe Station as another community centre when last year we spent £165,270 on community centres.
How many does one small village need?
Best of all, though, is the £5,200 allocated to public toilets. Since January every time I have been near the toilets on South Kirkby Green, they have been locked up.
The only other toilet is the gents' walk-in at the bottom of Stockingate.
