ARE you opinionated, good at writing and
looking for a new challenge? If so, perhaps you could join the Express team of
volunteers as a Grassroots correspondent
or columnist.
We are looking for someone to take on the weekly Hemsworth grassroots column which was previously written by Pam Walker.

You need to be Hemsworth-based, computer and e-mail literate, interested in the day-to-day news and events and able to commit to a
weekly deadline.

We are also looking for a columnist to write a twice monthly In my view column. To fill this role you must live within southeast Wakefield and have the time to commit to writing a regular column.

You will have strong opinions and not be afraid to have your say. You must be interested in local news and be able to put your point
across without involving politics, being malicious or defaming others.

If you think you have what it takes to join our dedicated team of volunteers, please email rebeccawhittington@ywng.co.uk with your name, address, a contact number and a sample column – or telephone 01977 642214 for more information.
