There will be an accident
READ in a previous issue that there are concerns over the traffic at the bottom of Westfield Lane and also "Elmsall Hill" in South Elmsall.
II must point out that as well as two cash machines, a post office and a convenience store (where people park) on the junction of Barnsley Road and Westfield Lane, Wakefield Council planners have agreed to a 24-hour taxi firm opening for business 20 yards away from the junction.
So, guess what?
We have taxi traffic parked all over this restricted parking zone at all times too.
People with pushchairs have to go onto the road because the pavement is half blocked with cars and if they have small children too, well, it's like an accident waiting to happen – and one will.
