Lessons to be learned

At this time of the year we could look forward to an inflation busting council tax demand from Wakefield Met. (which managed to just about double the tax over the last decade).

Now, whilst the demands from Wakefield have subsided for the time being, the same cannot be said for their junior partner, South Elmsall Town Council.

No cutbacks or savings here with a six per cent increase. Compare this with Ryhill Parish Council, who have frozen their precept ‘due to careful budgeting and good management and the need to act responsible in times of economic hardship.’

Perhaps there are some lessons to be learned for Coun Tulley and his merry men.
