Credit where it is due?

As one of 11 Labour town councillors of 13 on South Elmsall Town Council, recent reports and photographs could confuse the local electorate.

Independent councillors appear to have taken credit for securing a Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) outreach in the community. Even I would be confused if it was not for the fact that I, through the town clerk, invited CAB chief executive Liz Halliday to meet with the town council.

It was decided at that meeting to fund the service and later confirmed at the 2010-2011 annual precept meeting.

Finally, I would like to thank the Oasis Christian Fellowship for providing a room for the service.
