Cancelling appointments
I DON'T know about Upton's residents but patients being moved to Hemsworth surgery find it hard to get appointments.
I am not a regular at the GPs but I have had to travel to Upton myself even though I come from the Hemsworth area.
We need it to stay open.
If it didn't, where would we all go?
If it's Barnsley or Doncaster not all of us have our own transport to go wherever.
Another thing is why can't we have a separate phone number to cancel appointments?
You read the notice about X number of appointments missed – but it's because you can't get through to cancel them.
If someone could operate a line to delete appointments, linked to the booking line, more appointments would be available to those who need them.
If I can work this out ... come on.
