Business opportunity
Cycle commuting is a great way of travelling to work.
Easy on the pocket and great for your health. Except that too many of us have found upon returning to our cycle that it's been stolen, vandalised or stripped! And there are some who go around deliberately piercing tyres. Why? However there is a 'business opportunity' here. Not for a psychotic guard dog, but for a business person.
In cities with large cycle-commuting populations an increasing number of 'cycle-parking' shops are opening. Cycles are parked on the premises for a fee. And users can be reasonably sure of returning to their bike in much the same state as they left it.
In addition most of these places offer extra services, from 'valeting' after a dirty ride in to a full service. This is, of course, the real money earner. Secure parking just pays rent, rates etc.
