SOUTH KIRKBY AGED FOLKS ANNUAL TEA: It is the 65th anniversary of the South Kirkby aged folks annual tea on Thursday, May 13 at South Kirkby Cricket Club. Tickets will be available for over 65 year olds at South Kirkby Darby and Joan Club between 1pm
–3pm on Wednesday, April 21, or at South Kirkby Cricket Club between 7pm–8pm on Sunday, April 25.

JOY'S HALL: All staff and members of Joy's Hall would like to thank everyone for their kind donations of wool and knitted garments for the knit and natter group. The group meets on Wednesday afternoons between 1pm–3pm. Membership is free and tea and coffee are on sale throughout. Computer, card making and craft sessions are held. Coffee mornings, keep fit and smoking cessation sessions, are in the process of being set up. If you are interested in any of the above or would like to volunteer to help with any of the groups, please contact Clare at the hall 01977 651450 or call in for a brochure.

SOUTH KIRKBY SINGERS: South Kirkby Singers are recruiting members for the coming season. All voices, male and female, are needed and will be made welcome.We meet every Wednesday from 7pm–9pm in the YMCA Hall in Hemsworth. FOOTBALL FOR DISABLED: Do you like football? I am putting together a disability football team with the input of Frickley Football Club. We need a manager/coach, secretary and players. RENAISSANCE BRASS: South Kirkby Renaissance Brass are still looking for new players. So if you have played a brass instrument or are learning and would like to experience the pleasure and satisfaction of playing in a band, but without the pressure of competition, come along to our Friday rehearsal (7pm–9pm) at Langthwaite House or contact Brian Till 01977 640385 or Ian Dodd 07505 907394.

TEA DANCE: Tea dance and sequence dancing every Thursday afternoon. The Grove South Kirkby, 1.30pm–4pm, cost £1. All proceeds to Prince of Wales Hospice and Yorkshire Air ambulance.
